Science

Science

In year 8 for Science, we are doing something called Forensic Science.
On the first day, we did -----------------------------------------------^

We were doing fingerprints first, we put pen on our fingers then putting our finger on sellotape, pressing our finger on the sellotape then removing our finger from the sellotape then looking to see if it was an Arch, Whorl or Loop, when we found out if it was a
------------^-------^----------^--------------- We then stuck our sellotape on some paper, after we had put it on the paper we then stuck in the boxes on the paper if it was a Arch, Whorl or Loop.
The person.

What is Forensic?
A sceince that helps police solve a crime
DR. Edmond locard is said to be the father of Forensic's and as he was also known as the Sherlock Holmes.

CHROMATOGRAPHY

Then the next day we did something that involved paper, we stuck pen on the paper while we were given this weird thing, it looked like water but it was a no-no to drink, we stuck the paper on top of the cup where the so-called water look-alike was.
We were given something, we had to put it in the water thingy, then softly touch the paper while the water was on the given rod, after we put the water on the paper we watched it slowly spread to make beautiful colors.

FIRE WARNING

On the third day, we played with Fire, we were given some material, a candle and a lighter to light the candle, we were given a list of things.s
What did the material look like?
How fast did it burn?
What did it smell like?
& What did it feel like? (Wait for the heat to cool down before touching, you may hurt your self if not careful.
For this part, we had someone to work with, my partner for this was Tyra
