A dogs life with her best friend (Marshmello)

In class, we watched a video (Video above) and were told to write the perspective of the girl or the dog, from the start of the video, here is what I ended up with.

I sat within the midst of the crowd as I was handed a birthday present, I opened the lid to see a yellow bow, I picked up the bow as I looked at it with an unhappy smile, why a bow? did I do something bad? I thought as I watched my uncle leave and soon come back as I watched him bring in a golden retriever.

My face lit up as I began to stir in my seat as I gave a wave to little puppy as the puppy was handed to me as it licked my face, my smile grew, I felt so happy.

I stuck the yellow bow on the dog as I smiled for the camera.

-Later that day-

I stood near the wall frame as my Uncle got a pencil as he put a line as to how tall In was, I bent down so he could do it for Yellow my puppy, I decided to name her Yellow from the bow I was given for her.
I watched as my uncle drew a line under Yellow as I smiled, life couldn't of been better.

-years later-

I was standing against the wall I knew too well as my dad stuck a line above my head as he left, I grabbed a small dog biscuit out of my pocket a made a circular motion in front of yellow as I laughed and leaned down giving it to her as she ate it.
I then began to ruffle her fur as I smiled walking away.

-at school-

I sat on the sports bench at school while the popular girls were picking who they wanted in their team... of course, I didn't get picked but laughed at as I sat there playing with the ball in my hand.

-home-

I had a ball in my hand as I stuck it on the ground and played of a bit of football with yellow, she was a great buddy to play with when no one would, even if she was a dog.
she would always be there for me.

-Next day school-

I was leaning on my knee on the grass as we were going to get our photo taken as a group as one of the girls pushed past me which made me end up standing for the photo instead of kneeling, I didn't mind, kneeling hurts my knees, I gave a small smile with my mouth closed as the man taking our photo told me to give a big smile, I gave a small shy nod as I brushed some hair from my face giving a small as I showed my teeth that had braces on them, I looked to my side to see the girls laughing at me.
when they laughed at me I just felt like everything stopped I didn't
know what to do...

After that, I rushed home as I threw my bag down laying on the sofa as I heard the paw sounds of yellow asking to be allowed in, I got up as I opened the door for her as she followed me to the sofa as I sat down as she sat on the ground next to me, I looked at Yellow and gave a small laugh as I covered my mouth as Yellow stuck her paw on my hand, she really was a blessing for me having her made me so happy.
I grabbed her paw as she leaned on my hand as I got up and did the circular motion waiting for her to make a circle motion, I gave a small frown as she lays on the ground with her head on the carpet

In motion of being finished.

What did I think of this task?
I loved this task because I could be free with what I wanted to write and how I would write the story.

Did I like this?
What did I like it yes I liked it?
why? Because it was involved animals, and I myself loves animals very much.

  1. Wow, Ruby! You worked so hard on this task. This is a ton of writing for a fairly short time frame. Well done.

I really love the emotion you put into your writing, I can feel happiness at some parts, and sadness at others. I thought it was interesting how you used headers to let us know what the setting was ex) at home, at school, later that day etc.

I wonder if there would be an effective way to tie these details into your story without using headers so that it reads just like a book?

story about this video it was really amazing to see you write about a dog and a young that grew up with her dog it's so happy
and sad at the same time.

Question for you Ruby were you crying when she was sad that she had to leave her dog?
