 Now like before there just isn't anything interesting to talk about, that goes on at school cause all were doing is assessments, I mean there is one thing we have been doing that isn't an assessment, which is called Mates and Dates, but we only have it twice or once a week and we've so far only done two sessions so not much to really talk about.

So instead I'll be talking about FFXIV a game I really love and adore

I began playing Final Fantasy XIV last year, and to say I love it, the community nice and there are lots of people to talk to. My favourite expansion is Shadow brings as it has a character named G'raha Tia in it, G'raha is a Cat boy (Yes they have cat people, as well as bunny people, and demon people called Au ra, Bunny people are called Veria's while Cat people are called Miqo'te)

I play as a female Miqo'te to represent my gender, a female.
When playing FFXIV you can play as and job on one class, so alts rarely are a needed thing as you can play any job on one character.
On my character I main healers, the healer I play is called the White Mage which is mainly a healing type. Each healer has their own role, one of the other healers can heal but can also buff. The one healer I am really excited about is the sage, which will come out in patch 6.0 when EndWalker comes out, The sage is a healer who mainly does healing and barriers to protect their teammates from dying.

I honestly really enjoy playing as a healer cause I rather save people than cause people problems by always dying, plus when you're a healer you get to stay away from the boss most of the time, which is nice.

The Themes of The Hunger Games II English

Themes are an important part of a film as it gives the director an idea of how they will direct the movie.
Some of the themes I noticed throughout The Hunger Games were

• Rich v Poor
• Hope and Rebellion
• Propaganda

Task - Find Quotes from characters in the film and explain why they are important in showing each theme. Present these in a creative way.

Katniss - How will they change you?
Peeta - I Don't know. Turn me into something I'm not. I just don't want to be another piece in their game, you know? 
This quote by mainly Peeta shows and portrays the theme of Propaganda. Propaganda can be seen as a way to control people to your bidding in large groups sort of like Manipulation. When Peeta says this, it shows that he's struggling in his role as a tribute for his district. In the hunger games, a tribute is a sort of like a district's hope Because if someone from said District wins the game it means that the district that person was from gets extra food for their entire district. But because the aim of the Hunger Games is to kill other opposing players from different districts and be the last standing Peeta's having a hard time coping with his role in the game because he's afraid that if he kills people he won't be the same person he was before he entered the games, and would turn into a pawn for the Capitol.

This quote by mainly President Snow shows us the theme of Hope & Rebellion It gives us an understanding of just how powerful hope is. Because we know the power hope has right from the start, hope can be given or seen in any situation whether it is life-threatening or not. A scene in the hunger games that harbours hope for the players is when Seneca talks of the coms and announces that any district that still has two people left in their district and are the last people standing will automatically make them the winners of the game and the game would end. This gave the players a sense of motivation and hope to continue on and win the game.

Caesar Flickerman - Katniss Everdeen, the girl on fire!
This quote may not seem it but it's hidden them is Hope & Rebellion but mainly Rebellion. In the middle start of the movie and near the ending it's shown that Katniss has a sense of rebelling which can be seen when she shoots the apple in the pig's mouth from down below when up above are judges from the Capitol and near the ending when Katniss cheats the system and decided that if She and Peeta can't both win then they'll leave the game with no winner. This quote may not seem like much to represent but during the tribute parade, Katniss is seen wearing all black and having wings of flames. In Katniss's district, it's seen that most of all the men are all Coal miners. The black of Katniss outfit representing the coal and the flames representing a spark to ignite the coal and in all ignite Katniss's.

Gale Hawthrone - Better be. It cost me a squirrel.
This quote is a representation of the theme of Rich v Poor and gives us an idea of how poor the districts are, mainly District 12 in this case. In the movie, it is shown that money is rarely used and is only used for things such as cotton or little accessories, while the rest of the needed items someone may need to survive on is bought by trading what you already have for something else. In Gale's case, he traded a dead squirrel for a piece of bread, something which may not seem worth trading for in today's era, but its worth it to them as throughout the start of the movie we get a rundown on how District 12 looks and what the people wear, throughout that scene there is an old man sitting in a chair eating off any chicken that is left on the chicken bone. Nowadays we wouldn't really do that but in their case wasting food isn't an option as it's hard to come by and to obtain unless you have a skill in hunting.

Statement

In the Reaping scene in The Hunger Games, the idea of Rich v Poor is explained through the use of wide shots and close-ups. The comparison between the wealth of the Capitol, represented by Effie, and the poorness of District 12 is seen in the wide shot of the people gathered at the reaping. A close-up shot of Effie reveals quality, colourful make-up and costume. The wide shot of the crowd is used to show that they are forced to be there. This wide shot also shows a lack of colour in the population of District 12's material and costume to show they are poor.

1 What is the story based on a nursery rhyme that circulates among the youth?
The Nursery rhyme that's going around children is the Humpty Dumpty nursery rhyme of the egg that fell off a wall and couldn't be put back together again, however, in Unwind it's a different case. In Unwind It's Humphrey Dunfee, and the Dunfee's are a family, who started out a bit crazy but became even crazier after unwinding their child. It was said the father worked for the government, so he got into the national unwind database and got a printout of every single person who had received a piece of Humphrey, they did that so they could go to those people and get back the parts of their son so they could put him back together.

2 Risa overhears two nurses debating law and human nature. Which argument do you think is stronger? Why do you think this? Write a paragraph explaining your thoughts on law and human nature.
I pick Nuse Young because it's something that we all go through today. and Honestly, I think it's better to get the law out to everyone because then they'll change themselves to adapt to this new law, Changing human nature first would be so confusing. So let's say you're going shopping and buy the same amount as usual but for some reason at the check out there's someone standing next to the person who's checking out your food and they say "Sorry, unfortunately, you'll have to put some things back, because of this new Law Bla Bla" I'd feel really confused like I'd be so used to buying the same amount of things that I have every year, but suddenly out of the blue I can't, and I didn't know this because no one told us about this law until just now.

3 This section opens with a mother abandoning her newborn infant on the doorstep of a house in a good neighbourhood. As she leaves, she thinks "How wonderful it is that she can get a second chance. How wonderful it is that she can dismiss her responsibility so easily." I don't really find this right, because you're giving up a child that could give you potential happiness in the future, and you're giving up the next line of generation to your family. But the sad thing is that the child could be possibly be passed around constantly like the child that Connor saw when he was young on their doorstep, they could pass the child around till it grew to sick to live and died without actually living a propper life.


4 In your opinion, by allowing new mothers to give up their children so readily, does it take away from the value of a child?
It's in the middle for me, it really depends if the child lives or dies from being passed around, however, if it does live it really counts on if the child will care that they don't know their parents and try to find out about them. or just the fact that they could care less that they didn't know about their parents because of what they did to them. But really it just depends if the child gets distracted by the fact of wanting to find their parents. Because yes if they're to distracted

5 What is the role of a mother? Do you think the title of mother is something that should be earned or a natural right of the woman who gave birth?
I honestly think the tittle mother should be earned and not given straight away, because how could you call yourself a mother if you give away your child or if you neglect it, a mother doesn't do that and shouldn't.

6 Whats skills or attributes do Connor and Risa have that work well together? 
Well Risa has experience with children and how to handle them, while Connor has quick thinking though sometimes it may lead to dangerous situations Risa sure to fix it, and Connor also has great reflexes and good stamina as shown when he's running away from the juvey cops.

7 Connor and Lev have very different experiences with storking. How has this helped shape each of their attitudes toward the society they live in?
Connor finds that stroking is bad as when he was young a baby had been storked and passed from door to door, this lead to the baby dying. Lev, however, likes it as he has storked siblings and has a dislike to Connor grabbing the child.


8 Connor is concerned the baby won't be loved, and ultimately will die, so he takes it. What does this show us about him as a person?
That despite what he'd done before getting the note of unwinding, Connor deep down is a very caring person for people who need it and gets guilty feelings on past mistakes when they come to life again, and decides instead of sitting back like last time, he decided that he'd take action

9 What makes Lev realise he doesn't want to be unwound P79
Lev had found out over the phone with Pastor dan, that he hadn't told Lev to run from his supposed kidnappers but to stay with them and to run away from being unwound, lev had reflected on that and what he'd experienced with Connor and Risa, and even though he had mixed feelings he realised the mistake that he'd had made.

10 Each of the other characters on the run has a tragic background story. Why were Hayden, Ronald and Mai set to be unwound? Which do you think, is the most tragic? Explain your response.
Mai was getting unwound because her family had wanted a boy, so when they had finally gotten a boy they decided to unwind her as they had no use for her, and had no desire to love her. This also included Mai's other sisters.
Hayden was getting unwound because his parents had a divorce and kept going to court to get custody over him, they, later on, couldn't take it anymore, because of all the failed court meetings and all the stress. so to solve their problems they unwound him.
Roland was getting unwound by his parents because he had to much testosterone or steroids, or a combination of both. This left him looking too scary for other peoples liking that even the Military couldn't take it, like Connor he got into fights at school. However what got him unwound was the fact that his stepfather had beat his mother, so he took action and beat his stepfather up for hurting his mother but in turn, his mother had taken his stepfathers side. His stepfather was given a warning while Roland was sent off to be unwound.

P.E II Fitness II

We've been at school now for 3 weeks from after lockdown, and we've had 2/3 periods of PE so far, during our time doing PE we've been doing some fitness. These are the tests that I did, we had to do all of these before we could actually get onto the real thing.

But I feel I did okay on doing this PE Test. The whole thing took two periods of PE. Honestly, I thought it might have taken about 3 Periods to get this done. Based on how much PE I do.

But I'm overall happy with my results.

Maths update II Maths II Flexagon

3 more weeks till the end of term 1, so much has been going on for me. I have an assignment in DTE on creating a animation and so much more to do in Science and English.
Science with its end of test topic review and English with keeping my work up to date.

But I guess having Math on a Friday is not bad if we get to do fun things like this all the time.
In Maths instead of doing actual math work we had some fun and made Flexagons.
With this, we were given a paper with a design on it, and instructions on another piece of paper on how to create the Flexagon.
But even with the instruction, everything was still so confusing???

That I had to get some help... It was worth it in the end because I managed to get them both done with a little bit of help from the teachers.

YR10 Child Trafficking Research II Social Studies

A couple of days back In Social Studies we were given a research assignment, which we were given a slide to which we would pick what our research was about. The one I picked was Child Trafficking out of Child Labour and Child Soldiers. For this research we had to do the What, Who, When, Where, How and Why questions.

We also had to visit more than one site about the same topic because you can't just trust one site as one site may be out of date and the other site may be biased, so it was important for us to go to multiple sites to find our information.
It may have been a hassle but it helped me find out some interesting things that I didn't know that I could add to the slide above. But honestly the hard part was making it look pretty.

When the door slammed shut as the nurse left and I had just awoken it was the moment I had come to terms with the fact that I had a full body of my own and no one next to me to prester me about everything I do and say. This felt amazing, absolutely amazing. While I indeed did no longer have a sibling to bug me every day and sit by my side like it used to be, at least I still had our pet dog Rusty by my side.

Self Directed learning goal II English

Last week on one of my goals I had said I wanted to get to my expert licence in English. And I had managed to achieve that which I'm very pleased about.

 - This week I wanna Try and get a 2 or 3 learning Matrix's done
 - I also want to be able to do some work at home
 - And finally, go to sleep at time that won't leave me tired in the morning like 10:00

Act Four Scene One

1. What does the duke believe Shylock intends to do?
2. What does Shylock intend to do, and what reasons does he give for his decision?
3. Why must the law be allowed to stand (Why can't the judge dismiss this case)
4. Shylock is very clear about the restrictions in the wording of the deed, how does Portia use these loopholes?
5. What penalties does shylock now have to pay? are they fair why/why not.

1. The duke believes that Shylock is playing a little chared of being cruel and by the time he's about to take Antonio's flesh he'll change his act and show Antonio mercy instead.

2. Shylock intends to get his bond with no shown mercy, the reason is that people may not like cats or bagpipes and that's exactly like Shylock and Antonio Shylock doesn't like Antonio.

3. Because if the duke lets anyone away with the deal, then anybody else can get away with a deal

4. Portia uses the loopholes of saying that Shylock can take a pound of flesh but he cannot let a leak of blood drip from Antonio, and if he does then all his belongings and lands will be taken from him.

5.  In reason, they are somewhat fair and somewhat not, the reason for fair is that Shylock has given money to people so they can get things for themselves and they never have the money to pay back so Antonio gives them money which makes Shylock mad as in what's the point of going to Shylock for money if the people can't pay him back and not fair to as Shylock wants the bond which could indeed kill Antonio.

6. Antonio said instead of him getting the money, by the time Shylock dies then half of his money will go to Jessica and Lorenzo.

7. The reward Portia gained is the ring she gave to her husband Bassanio, this is sufficient as to show how loyal and willing Bassanio is to keep the ring and not to give it up, which has been shown that Bassanio does not have the guts to keep the ring on his finger.

8. She tries persuades Shylock by saying a line that goes along the lines of this "Wait a minute, Jew. The law has another hold on you. The laws of Venice state that if a foreign resident directly or indirectly attempts to kill any citizen, the person he tried to kill will receive one-half of the foreigner's goods. The other half goes to the state. Whether the offending person lives or dies is up to the duke."

1. Portia refuses the invitation to go to dinner with Bassanio because then he'd find out that Portia was disguised as a man because their husbands think their back at home.

2. Nerissa plant to get the ring from her husband and why is this important, it's important to see if her husband is as loyal to her as he said he'd be.

3. Yes I admire Portia because one can not be found guilty for testing their man's loyalty to them just like a man to could do that to test their wife loyalty, I find it a rather great idea to give your husband a ring and tell him that he can never take it off, lose it or sell it to see if the man is truly loyal to you.
But then no as a bit of pressure was stuck on Bassanio on giving the ring away by Antonio and Portia.

In Maths we're learning how to find the sides of Angels of a right angle triangle using trigonometry, And to use trigonometry right we had to use the right layout given to us.

Here is how to find the angels of a right-angle triangle and how to lay it out

Step (1) - Draw the diagram and label it.
Once you've finished your diagram move onto step (2)

Step (2) Lay (write) out what you're given
Write the HYP and OPP or if the 12 is in place of the ADJ then the OPP is the ADJ and you'd right it as HYP =  and ADJ =

Step (3) Write out your commentary on how you're going to solve it.
Once you've written your commentary move onto step (4)

Write it out (Press into your calculator what your Opp-Hyp or ADJ for me its 12 over 17 so I press in 12 divided by 17 to get my answer.

Commentary - To change the decimal into a Degree we need to use Sin-1

Once you've written out your commentary you need to press shift on your calculator and press sin because it is a valid part of the process of finding out your answer, to find your answer all you need to do its press Shift then sin and put in what you got from your first try mine was 0.7 so I would press shift then sin to get sin-1 and then put in 0.7 and then enter to get my answer.

So last week I wasn't at school on Monday or Tuesday but I was here the rest of the week which left me good enough time to get some Matrix done, I didn't manage to get 3 done, but I managed to get 2 done, by the end of the week.

This week I know what I'm going to do so It will much easier because last week I only did what I knew I could finish within the week.

so this week hopefully I can get 3 done so I can feel more accomplished in my work

Government (Study)

1 - Prime minister - The prime minister is usually a leader of a party, with the most seats in a parliament, so he/she has to be supported with a majority of MP's
The prime minister is also the one who runs the government.

Cabinet minister - Is basically a group of people, like the minister of education and ETC who makes choices for the government.

Head of state - The head of state is the person (Queen Elizabeth II) Who represents their country as the country's leader.

Governor General - The Governor-general is someone who represents the queen and does stuff for her on her behalf

2 - What I found interesting about this topic is what the Governments do and what their roles as before I didn't know much as learning about governments really wasn't in my interest at the time

3 -  Something I want to know more about is... Not much really only that what would Germany be like now in this time period of Hitler still continued on being the government.

From Tuesday to Thursday to the next week of Tuesday was all fun and drama.

and since its now Wednesday we were given questions and a blog post to write about our time at EOTC week.

What did you enjoy the most?

I enjoyed going to Adrenalin forest again to experience it all over again.

What did I not enjoy?

Getting a big sunburn on my left leg and 2 sunburns on my shoulders which leaves me in pain, and is still in pain.

My best memory?

Is spending time with my friends as we experience the fun together like, Archey, Fire building ETC from Omaka scout camp,
