Cards (Text Styles)

In Text styles after we made new used paper from paper its self, and coloured the paper, we made 4 cards (Other card has been sent off somewhere) we were given a plan to make our cards and we had to make 4 each, meaning we would have 4 in total by the end, I'm happy with how mine turned out the one I'm most proud of is my first one, the one that got sent off first, and the paper we made, we had to use on our cards.

In the end, I really liked how they turned out.

In Drama, we started doing small monologues but instead of being given one we got to pick which one we wanted. The one I picked was called Dinner at Canale's

Basically, it's about a woman Named Vicky who caught her husband cheating and decided to have a talk with him next to a table at their home but ended up going a bit off course.

In English, we've been working on Novel study when we got to a certain part of our Novel study we needed to do a task which we would complete before moving on, my task of choice was to pick 5 songs for either Marhta or Scott one of the characters from the book and explain why it represented them.

Ping pong ball experiment (Science)

The purpose of this blog post that I am making is to demonstrate the scientific method, 

of our ping-pong ball experiment in science this week.

Recently in science, we had been using our SciPad, we had to fill out a page that was needed for our experiment once we had finished that page we waited for the next time we had science to do the test.

The page we did before the experiment included for us to do an Aim, Hypothesis and Method.

Aim -To find out how high a ping-pong ball can bounce after being dropped

Hypothesis - I think the ball will bounce a bit over 50

Method - Frist get out your equipment (Pole, Ball and ruler) then once you got your equipment and set it up, then hold the ball from the top of the pole with a ruler next to the pole then drop the ball and watch it bounce. (You take that test 3 times for each length so like 40 cm, you would put it on 40cm and do 3 tests on the 40cm before moving it up to 60 or 50 and doing the same thing)

After you've got your result you make a graph out of it.

After we had done that we waited the next day for our test, we did exactly what it said above and after that, we did our graph and the page next to the graph which included our Discussion as to what went right or wrong. and Conclusion as to say yes or no to if my hypothesis was correct and our Evaluation to see if it was a bad test meaning it wasn't right.

Discussion - When we dropped the ball at 50cm our result was 34,31,33 and though I thought it would be in the 40's I sadly don't know why it got below 40 maybe cause of the drop?

Conclusion - No it didn't because even at 50cm it did not go over 50, maybe I should have done 70cm for our last and not 50 and maybe then it would have gotten over 50

Evaluation - There was a 13 within the 20's when it should be within 20

Amber Poem

My sister's name is Amber she reminds me of the burning seeming sun

 as Amber is a colour that shall be,

 it glistens and glows in an underneath a patch of think snow

 waiting to be picked up like a shiny amber coin

 but shall wait to be reborn

 as a shining new sunset lingering in the sky.

Just like a bright shining sun

That can make you blind when you stare into it

It reminds me of a jewel that slowly

The taming of the Shrew (No Topic)

Its week 7 and its Monday today period 3 a Shakespeare show was put on for us called The taming of the Shrew, There were 3 people involved for the play all three girls, the play was located in 1616, where there was this girl who was named Kate who was violent ETC

and Kates sister Bianca who was a girl who most boys all loved, but Kate had to get married first before Bianca was then allowed to get married.

There was a man who was rich but ran out of money and needed a wife to pay for his Bills so one of his friends hooked him up with Kate sooner later getting married.

And Slowly turning the Shrew Kate into an obedient wife.

Slowly then leading to Bianca getting married.

Before they did the show they showed us 2 flags one was white which represented Comedy and a back flag which represented for tragedy.
After the show, they asked us what we thought the story was based on Tragedy or Comedy
and told us like a backstory to the play

the hidden message was about domestic abuse ETC

In my opinion, the show was really good and showed what our world was like in the past.

School kit (English)

In English we started doing a task meaning we didn't do any novel study today for English, this task included us added sticky words Etc our favourite bird and our favourite place ETC.

My Coat of Arms (Social studies)

In Social studies, we were looking towards identities which then upgraded to Coat of arms which involves making our own and posting about it on our blog and telling people about our crest (Question - What did I add to my crest)

Why were we learning about Crests
Because it's involved with identities which was a topic in social studies we were doing at the time

I have learnt
I have learnt what the meaning of a crest is and why its important to us.

What I knew
I didn't know much about crests but I knew what it was what I mean by that is that I didn't know anything but I've seen crests in animations and ETC

What is a coat of arms

A coat of arms is basically a crest that represents you, your job or family

Why do we have them?

So we can tell people apart from where they work or what royal family they are from

Why are they important

They make us, well us, like the royal family their crest is basically to represent their whole family, their crest shows who they are, it makes them. Them

On the Top right is a snake, which Is for me, I stuck a snake since I'm In Slytherin and has always loved snakes as to me they look very cute.

On the top Left is for my brother who loves gaming so I stuck down a Nintendo switch for him 

And on the bottom right, I stuck a cup of tea for my mother, since she loves to drink it most of the time

And lastly for my baby brother on the bottom left I stuck building blocks since he loves building stuff then recking them afterwards
