Athletics Day II Friday Reflection Post

Last Thursday we had Athletic days. At our school and probably most of all the other schools too. our athletics is split into two groups Competitive and Social I was in Competitive, this was also my first time being in competitive as I've always done Social. The difference between the two is that Competitive starts athletic at the start of period 1 and goes all the way to the end of school while Social has two periods of class before coming out and doing athletics.

The Athletic options I picked for this year were

Shot-put
High-Jump
Long-Jump

Before athletics day if you picked PE as a subject for year 11 you'd do a pre athletic practice. Meaning we'd go out and practice certain events we were taking part in on athletics day. Just to get that bit better at the event. Which I found helped a lot on the actual day of the event.

I fairly enjoyed this year's Athletics. And shockingly enough doing competitive actually gave me the chance to talk to people I normally wouldn't talk to in my year group which was really nice.
The thing I wish I could've changed but I know I cant was the weather. I would have loved for Athletics day to be like last year where the weather was nice and sunny. But in the end, Athletics was still really good.

Hunger Games II Pt3

Gathering details from the movie: Hunger Games

Opening Cards - There are three terms - Tribute, Reaping, GamesTribute - (Tribute in hunger games means something along the lines of people participating in something) another propaganda as the people in the film are people who are just sent unwillingly to their death
Reaping - Where 1 girl and boy are selected from each district to partake in the hunger games,
Games - Puts the hunger games into the games category. (It's a game no one really wants to play through if it means fighting to the death.)

Details - When Katniss goes to blow up the other teams food, you can hear Cesar talking but instead of seeing him you're seeing Katniss while overhearing Ceasers comments of if Katniss will figure out the booby trap.

PE Reflection II PE

For the last 2 weeks, we've been doing volleyball and learning all its actions and how to play it.
This week we've been doing a few rounds of volleyball in teams. starting off with a practice and then getting into a game. I feel that I'm getting better at my serving but could improve in my arm power in hitting the ball and learn to put more force when hitting the ball when it comes from above me.

I am in the function green section (Self-Direction)
Because I have been on task
I always have my PE uniform and always have the equipment I may need
I did my best to talk with my teammates even if I didn't get along with some of them and cheered them on for doing their best.

Gathering details from the movie: Hunger Games Pt2

Compare the reaping scene and the television show
The reaping was silent and gave off a sad and scared vibe of people who were unwilling.
The Interview at the capitol was loud and full of happy people shouting and cheering.
The only sound you could hear from both scenes (Apart from the video from the capitol in the reaping) were the sounds of people yelling, talking, moving, and cheering.
Everything is brighter at the interview with Katniss than at the reaping.
Katniss seems less nervous and more willing to talk.
The capitols people clothes match their eyelashes, hair and clothes.
Their technology is advanced with three-way screens.
Each Districts outfits are made based on their district in some way.
When peter takes Katniss's hand and lifts their hands up it makes the crowd cheer louder, the man who interviews them says something along the lines of "Their proud to be in district 12!" To the capitol when Katniss and Peter held up to their hands together to gave a sign to the capitol that seemed that they were proud to be playing the hunger games.

What does the three-finger symbol at the reaping represent
The three-finger salute is a symbol within the hunger games
The three-finger salute is a way to give the reaping people hope and that they believe in them
The three-finger salute was used in Thailand
The three-finger salute is also used in America but is named the black lives matter salute and gives a fist instead of three fingers and says that there should be racial equality. (This is used because people aren't happy how things in America are going.)

Rue's DeathThe music is slow and sad to represent and portray the current sense and vibe of Rue's death.
A lot of close up shots on Katniss and Rue.
A point of view shot from rue before she dies.
Everything becomes non-diegetic where only music is heard later on from when Katniss goes to grab Rue flowers for her death bed.
The three-finger salute is down by rue's district to honour her death.
District 11 goes into a riot after Rue's death
During the riot, camera work was shaky and hardly still but some things are still seeable and you are able to tell whats going on.
A lot of yelling and people raging is heard throughout the riot and a tad bit of music to make the scene more dramatic and also to make the scene more interesting
During the riot, there is a montage throughout district 11
During the riot, it starts in the morning and goes to nighttime showing that a lot of time has passed.

Katniss and Peeta
through the near end of the hunger games, it is stated that if two people from the same district live they will automatically win. However, had changed back to only one person winning when only Peeta and Katniss was alive. Because of this

For Katniss performance, there are a lot of close-ups and few over shoulders
As well as a few medium shots
one of the mid shots are between Katniss and the target when Katniss goes to shoot the target
Camera movement is fast when Katniss goes to grab the bow to shoot the apple stuck in the bigs mouth
There's a high angle showering down on katniss before she goes for the apple in the pig showing Katniss as someone inferior to the people in the capitol who are viewing her.

Unwind II Novel Study II English

Look at the original cover to the right, answer the following questions, remember to explain WHY you think that for each answer.

- How do you think this story will be written?
I think the story will be written in a first-person view, as they seem to be more common in books and seems to make more senes, and you don't seem to lose track of the story in first person, because your working on a single character meaning that there would be no point to suddenly go to another person in the same chapter, as it wouldn't really make sense.

- Why do you think the story is entitled as it is?
I'm guessing it has something to do with people being like killed or something. Cause by the look of it, the story looks to be of a horror theme due to the dark background and the colour red used, which can also mean blood, and also the fact that it took before the hunger games, and that there is a DNA sign on the book cover.

- Where do you think the story will take place?
I think the story will take someplace after a war, because if it is based on killing people. then it's more likely to be after a war, because during a war something aren't the same things change, people are killed and even after the war there would have been new laws and rules placed.

- What time period do you think the story is set in?
I think it will take place after either world war 2 or the Civil war somewhere in the future but no too far off, somewhere likely in the 21ths century.

The lawyer paragraph - How Iqbal lost his humans rights and what he lost II Social Studies

Iqbal’s ability to have human rights were taken from him the day he was taken from his family and given to his first-ever master. Why this matters so much?
Human rights and the freedom it gives us are a valid part of our everyday lives.
Life for Iqbal wasn’t exactly perfect after he became a slave. Because as soon as he became one he had already gained his first master and lost all of his human rights that he had before becoming a slave. In the process of becoming a slave, he had lost the right to have education. He had also lost the right to have comfortable beds to sleep on and delicious foods to eat each night for dinner. And worst of all the right to see the people who gave birth to him and raised him.
Being a slave Iqbal had to work 10 hours a day doing the same thing each day, working at a loom and making carpets to his master's satisfaction.This is why human rights are the most important thing for a human to ever have and why Iqbal and all the other children going through the same thing as Iqbal should’ve of never had to have experienced such a horrible childhood at such a young age.

Inside A Bag II Writing Matrix II English

You open your eyes and realise that your mind is completely blank. You can't see anything and you are struggling to breathe, but you can hear city noises around you. That when you realise you're trapped inside a bag.

I open my eyes and I squirm around a bit, It's tight in here I don't have much space to move "Where am I" I muttered as I lifted my hands up to above me to feel around, I moved my hands as I felt something cold touch my fingers. I moved my fingers up and down slowly to get an idea of what I was touching, I moved my feet around as I came to a realization of where I was "I'm in a bag" I stuttered out in shock as I laid in the bag silently. and waited patiently for anything to happen. Most importantly I was waiting for someone to come and open the bag because of curiosity. For all, I know though they probably wouldn't want to open the bag because they'd think that there were body parts in here. I mean that's the least of the things you'd probably see in a bag but... I mean it could be worse.

I groaned out as in a signal to let people know that I'm alive and in need of help, I'm not sure but I think a few minutes have passed I don't know but I hear yelling in the distance, someone must be coming to save me. Finally!!!. But what if it's an officer... they'll ask me questions and I can't even remember what happened. Why am I even in this situation in the first place? All I can remember is walking down the street... I was going somewhere but where. Where was I going, my head it hurts a lot... I think someone had a grudge on me or something. But I don't remember making enemies with anyone... Is this what amnesia is like? If it is I can't bear to describe the pain my head and mind is going through right now. Just thinking about it is killing my head.

I stayed silent as I waited a few minutes for the people from before that were yelling to find me. Maybe I'm in an alleyway? Oh god, am I going to die in here... I crunched my eyes as I tried to relax my breathing and slow down my heart rate so I don't explode and die from an irregular heartbeat because I had no idea where I am, what happened or how I even got in this situation in the first place.

I tilted my head to the left to suddenly hear screaming. Oh my god why is someone screaming, what the heck is happening, I really need to get out of this bag, I just need to find a rip... Any rip is fine as long as I can get my fingers through it so I can rip the bag open... It's a cotton bag, it just like your everyday top so I should be able to rip it open to get out.

Oh Gawd the screamings so loud. Why in the world are they still screaming, what is happening to them to be screaming this much?
I looked around the dark bag as I tried to find a hole in it, I ran my fingers down the bag as my nail goes through something... A hole it's a hole. or well I can make a hole, thank you for my long nails, I turned to my side to face the whole as I put my 2 index fingers in the hole to rip it open. I gave a small excited laugh as the hole grew bigger. I then stuck all my fingers in the hole to finish the process, I gave a relieved sigh as I managed to rip the bag open. Ohhh but it hurts so much to move.

I gave an exhaled breath as I slowly crawled out of the bag and got onto my feet to open my eyes to see... a deserted desert all around me and big mountain... I looked up at the mountain as I slowly register that, that's where the screamings coming from... "Where the heck am I?"

Creative Writing MATRIX Task (English)

This is only Part 1 of the story UwU



In a dark room sat a child as a metal door opened and in walked into the room was a young man to be the age of only 17, his hair was a pure white with the most vibrant yellow eyes ever, but those yellow eyes would forever haunt the soul of this child.
For so many things have been done to this child to damage him to the point of breaking.
This Child used to have the purest looking brown hair but now it sticks to his dirty skin as dried blood remains intact with it along with all the damage inflicted on him.

“Subject S4” The young man said as the child had looked up slowly at the grinning man, The child shakily got up as he walked out the door of his cell before walking into another room with a metal table and table with tools on a tray, The boy sat on the table like he knew exactly what to do… and he did, he knew everything about this place. What to do and what not to do. He knew if he disobeyed he would end up like the last kid, who died of starvation from disobeying a rule.

Plus he was important to these people. But that's what they told him, They said that he was special because he could wield a weapon that not many could. He didn’t understand what was so special about it, And they wouldn’t tell him why it was special either or why he was special, They said that he would know in due time… But that time… It never came, he still doesn’t understand anything about this big key which was his supposed weapon.

The boy laid on the table as he was strapped to it…”We’ll be injecting you with this new serum that was given to us, we don’t know the end results but we hope for the best” The man said as he looked at the child before injecting into his weak body.
Since this was a new Serum he should have felt pain like all the others… But nothing came, he waited a minute before he felt a stabbing pain that hit him like a thousand needles, it felt like his insides were being torn apart like someone had ripped open his stomach and pulled them out piece by piece and to make it worse it was slow and painful.

Throughout that day the only thing that was heard was the screams and cries of a poor helpless child who never had a childhood or a family to call his own. But a life that only gave him pain and immense agony. This never-ending pain never stopped day and night, and sometimes he wished that someone would save him… But no one came because no one outside of the building knew he existed, He was taken to this cruel place right after he was born. This hellhole was his home it was the place he would be raised and the place he would be hurt.

And just because of a simple weapon that was different from all the others.

-10 years later-

“W-WAIT UP AQUA” Screamed a boy with spiky blond hair with eyes that looked like the sky and ocean combined together, up ahead this boy was a tall woman who was proclaimed to be named Aqua she was tall and had short blue hair with blue eyes also. They may have blue eyes but these two were not related, more of like she was a mother figure or a sister figure to this boy “HURRY UP VEN, YEN SID NEEDS US IN HIS OFFICE NOW” Screamed the women as she ran up a huge flight of never-ending stairs “IT’S NOT MY FAULT THERE ARE SO MANY DOORS AND STAIRS” The boy yelled with a heaving pant.

“IF YOU HADN’T GONE TO SLEEP AT 12:00 IN THE MORNING AND WENT TO SLEEP AT 8 THEN THIS WOULDN’T OF HAPPENED” Aqua had yelled up from ahead as she was on the last layer of stairs before stopping to a familiar door. A second later came the panting boy as Aqua opened the door and walked in along with Ventus behind her as he shut the door before facing a desk that an old man with a long beard sat at.

“Your late,” He said in a calm voice “I know I’m sorry Master Yen Sid, Ventus woke up late” Aqua replied as he ruffled Ventus’s hair The old man sighed as he gave a nod.
“Next time come here on time please” The old man said as the two nodded “Now straight to the point, I have a task for you two to carry out, and you’ll bring Roxas along with you” Yen Sid said as the two gave a slow nod “I got a message from Mickey saying about Org XIII” Yen Sid said as the two instantly looked up from the ground to look at the Master “What about them?” Aqua asked “Apparently a couple of days ago Mickey had found a facility owned by Xehanort's clones and heartless which did experiments on children and teenagers “ Experiments… I knew he was crazy to form the X-Blade to rewrite the whole world's History and start everything from scratch but experimenting on children is going way too far” Aqua said as Ventus gave a sad nod “We’ll help” Ventus said as Yen Sid looked at them “I knew you would… Now off you go and grab Roxas before you leave” Yen Sid said shooing them off “He should have the coordinates for this facility” Yen sid said calmly as the two gave a nod before leaving.

-In the kitchen-

“Your here” Replied a boy who looked exactly the same as Ventus. Now the thing is, these two are not the same person nor are they related by blood or even related at all, to begin with.

“Well let's go we can’t keep sitting around here well those ageing clones of Xehanort torture children,” Roxas said in a grim voice before getting up and leaving the building with Aqua and Ventus behind him.

-In front of the facility-

“Well I can see why most people who were looking for it couldn’t find it” Roxas said as he looked at the building “It looks like a normal 2 story building...nothing out of the original from the outside, but on the inside I can bet its a nightmare” Roxas said as he summoned his 2 keyblades, “Well let's get going, lets rescue some kids” 

As soon as the three found a way inside the facility they stayed behind walls that had no cameras to single their arrival, As they got closers they came towards a metal door behind it you could hear children softly talking “This is it” Aqua murmured to the two as they nodded, Roxas pick locked the door as it opened and the three raced in and began opening the cell doors for the children.

Aqua had led them outside to a safe place while Roxas and Ventus opened the cell doors “All done” Ventus said with a sigh as he turned to face Roxas “You coming Roxas?” Ventus asked “Something doesn’t feel right, it doesn’t feel like it all of them… Like there is one more child… But it's hidden from the rest of the children” Roxas said as he held a hand over his heart “My heart is telling me there is” He said as he looked a Ventus “Well let's have a deeper look” Ventus said as they continued their search going through many halls and doors.

As Ventus and Roxas were walking down the halls Ventus grabbed by the arm and Stuck his hand over his mouth as they hid behind a wall “Shhh” Ventus whispered as they heard two footsteps “How’s subject S4 coming along” A voice said “Good, everything with the new serum went according to plan” Another voice said as the footsteps got closer “Good, I expect him to be ready soon” The first voice said as the footsteps grew distant meaning that they obviously walked down the nearest hall to them.

“See” See Roxas as Ventus nodded at him, “They came from this way, if they came from this way then the kid might also be this way,” Ventus said as Roxas dragged along behind him.

-minutes of twists and turns-

“Last door” Said Ventus as he turned the knob “Its unlocked” Ventus said as he slowly opened the door to see a table with a tray full of tools and then a table which held a contained teenager strapped to the table, “H-He looks horrible” Ventus said in shock as Roxas walked up to the kid “He’s unconscious” Roxas said softly as he began to unstrap the teenager, after unstrapping the teen Roxas picked him up slowly “He’s light…” Roxas mumbled “Very light, He shouldn’t be this light,” Roxas said with a hint of worry behind the words “We can see what's wrong with him once we get back to the tower. Right now we need to get back to Aqua so Vanitas can teleport us back since I can feel him near” Ventus said as Roxas nodded as the two began their journey to the outside of the facility.

-Outside-

“Took you long enough” A grim voice said as Ventus sighed “Sorry Vanitas we had to save their special subject that was hidden away from the rest of the kids” Ventus said as Aqua and Vanitas looked past Ventus to look at the boy in Roxas's arms “He was strapped to a table when we found him” Roxas said as Aqua gave a sad look.

“We heard two voices, they were talking about a new serum… But we don’t know what it does” Ventus said as Aqua gave a short stare at the boy “Well let's get going,” Vanitas said as he opened a portal back to the tower.

-Tower-

“WE'RE BACK” Vanitas yelled “Vanitas you don’t need to yell, “Ventus said in a yelling whisper voice “Well where’s the fun in that” Vanitas said as he walked away before stopping “Oh… and tell me what happens to the kid after he wakes up” Vanitas said before walking out of the room to go somewhere else “Didn’t think Vanitas cared” Roxas said as he walked to the infirmary.

-Yen Sid office-

“Your Back” Yen Sid said as he looked at Ventus and Aqua “Where’s Roxas?” Yen Sid asked “Thats the thing… We happen to come across someone who was separated from the other kids, we also heard some staff talking about a new serum, the kid sounded special… When we found him, we found him strapped to a metal table. He looked horrible so Roxas had brought him here, he’s in the infirmary right now” Ventus said in a sad but low voice.

“This boy what does he look like?” Yen Sid asked “Well he kinda looks like Vanitas but he has brown hair… But it's covered with dirt and blood, he’s also covered in scars and bruises, it doesn’t even look like he's ever had a shower his entire life” Aqua said as she gave a sad sigh.

“He’s not conscious now so he’s no harm if that's what you're wondering Master,” Ventus said as Yen Sid nodded.

“I’ll take a look into this child and see if I can find any files on him” Yen Sid said as Ventus and Aqua nodded “Now off you go” Yen Sid said to the two keybladers as they gave a nod before leaving him alone in his office to overthink the report he was given.

-Infirmary-

Roxas sat quietly next to the boy as he held his hand over his hear… Why does this boy feel so familiar to me, why does it hurt me knowing he’s looking like this. Do I know him, If I do… Where do I know him from? I want to know as Roxas thought to himself he was interrupted by a loud creaking door, Roxas turned his head towards the door to see Aqua and Ventus walk-in “How is he” Ventus asked “Still asleep” Roxas said as he looked at the sleeping Teen “When do you think he’ll wake up “Roxas said trying not to sound worried but was betrayed by his own voice “I think either tomorrow or in 5 or 4 hours” Aqua said as she gave a small smile to Roxas “Don’t Worry Roxas he’ll Wake up. Now if you excuse me I need to go wake up Terra” Aqua said as she gave a nod to the two before leaving.

“How are you feeling?” Ventus asked as he looked at Roxas before looking at the unknown teen “I don’t know, When I look at him my heart begins to hurt… he seems so familiar but I’ve never seen him in my entire life or I’m pretty sure I haven't, he just seems so familiar that it hurts me seeing him like this” Roxas said as he looked towards Ventus.

“Who is he to me Ventus,” Roxas said as he gave a worried look
“I-I Don’t know Roxas”

Maori Trade (Social studies)

In Social studies, we started learning about Maori and what it was like before the Europeans came (I wasn't there that week when we did learn it though...)
After we (Or my class) had learned how the Maori lived and how they traded before the Europeans came we were given a choice of 3 tasks that we could complete.
Mine was to make a mind mup of what the Maori traded before the Europeans and after.

Dear Writers block

Chicken stir fry (Food)

Last week in Food we made Chicken stir fry but since I wasn't here that day I never got to try it, so I'm going to be putting down what other people of my team thought.

I asked if it tasted good I got a response from one of my teammates as were set into groups and she said she liked it as it had a different sort of taste.
I then asked how Teamwork was my reply, yes the teamwork was good, meaning that I'm guessing everyone had a go, as in the kitchen we only had limited time to make the food and then eat it.

So hopefully this week I'll be at school so I'll be able to give a better response and with my own thoughts of the food and what I liked about it.

Learning Matrix progress (English)

I didn't get much done as I only had one session of English because I went home sick on Tuesday period 4 and we had English period 5 that day. so I have a bit to catch up onto.
This week I plan to do the following - 2 green and 1 yellow Creative writing tasks for this week and the workshop I shall attend will be - Workshop 3 (Fantasy and game plot writing)

And out of all of this, I hope I can get more done than last week so then next week I'll be back on track and up to date with my work.

How is lighting used to enhance a movie



Lighting is used in this shot to make the house feel cold, old and run down. this is done by using a 'cool white' light coming into the room from a cloudy window.
The director has used this lighting to enhance the idea that Coraline's life at home is dull and boring, and she is unhappy there. it also provides contrast to the other world, which is bright and warmly lit

The lighting is used in this shot to, make the house feel warm and more bright and happy unlike the real world from where that is dull and cold, the other house gives off a welcoming vibe, unlike the real house which just feels gloomy and boring.
The lighting from the other house that gives off that nice warm welcoming vibe which comes from a light bulb. Unlike the real world from where the lighting comes from the outside from the cloudy weather.
I think the director did what they did with the lighting so it shows Coraline is happy there in the other world then she is at her real home.


The lighting is used in this shot to make the tunnel feel mysterious and longing to go to the other side and see what's awaiting her on the other side.
The lighting of the tunnel is very bright and vibrant at the top and dark and gloomy at the bottom.
I think the director gave that lighting so it makes the viewer feel more excited to see what happens later on in the movie.

Nazi Germany (Social studies)

In Social studies, we were given an assignment on the topic we were on which was government.
We picked a government from back then, I picked Hitler or the Nazi, and we had to find information on that person and what their history was and what they did to gain control and how they gained peoples trust ETC

My bag sheet plan



A while ago I did a blog post about my progress on my bag and before we started our bag we did a sheet on what our plan for our bag would be here is mine also with my finish bag
