Film study Essay practice (English)

In the film, Coraline Low angle shots are used effectively to establish how vulnerable a character looks from down below.
This is demonstrated in the scene where after Coraline had finished watching a show outside waiting was the other mother and other father.
A low angle shot from the POV of Coraline looking upwards towards the other mother and father as they look down on her making Coraline seem small and vulnerable.
This makes us understand that Coraline is powerless against the other mother and father and is an easy prey form the other mother's view.
The purpose of this is to show that a character is powerless towards the person above them and that they have 50/50 chance of either dying or living depending on the person personality (Person above them).

That was a great explanation. You have me thinking about other films where I have seen this technique. Can you recall other movies in which you have seen this? Can you name one, and were you aware at the time of the film maker's intention?
