Koru Games

On the 18 of September the first day of the Koru games was okay, our first match we both got a tie of 3, then our last 2 games we vs to teams that broke the rules, I was a bit nervous facing the other teams in case I broke a rule while playing...

Speaking of rules at the Koru games there was this rule where you couldn’t say the word Mine, it was a very silly rule, that rule was broken by the 2nd team we played. Then it leads to the last game and then to where we are now the 2nd day the 19th. Standing on the field in the middle of a game with St Francis, my spot that I played in was defenses.

I was not in the right mind when we were playing against them, but I guess doing that made me kick the ball a couple of times, which made them get fewer goals, it was a fun game and we had managed to win our first game. Jorga our coach was very happy with us, I mean who wouldn’t. Then on the 20th which was the last day for Koru games, we played against Chasmare 2 for our first game.

It was much easier to vs them unlike cashmere 1. While everyone was at the front I was at the back with Nature doing the floss and singing the wedding bells while waiting for the ball to come my way, in all honesty, I was a bit shocked that Jorga or Miss Tozer didn’t tell me to pay attention to the game but instead they give me a thumbs up from when I gave them one. And after that game, we got our second win, along with a very happy Jorga Also after we started playing Chasmare 2 I didn’t really feel nervous anymore, knowing it didn’t really matter if we won or lost.

After that, I started singing the Pokemon opening but with a small twist… “TO USE IT IS MY REAL TEST, AND TO APPLY IT IS MY JOB… SUNBLOCK!”

I kinda repeated that over and over again for a while. The best part about the trip was that I got to spend it with my second half or my best friend Tyra, we even gave our selfs nicknames we called ourselves the Oddies since I was a 9 and she was a 5 which I came up with before the Koru games saying “I’m a 5 and your a 9 WERE THE ODDIES BUDDIES” I screamed with joy… and that was my first year at the Koru games.
